Focus

Countdown to 2010-
Only 32 Days Left-

Have you ever noticed that when you try really hard to avoid something... it seems to happen? The key here is that you are focusing on something and the universe doesn't know the difference or the reason why...so it gives it to you. The more you resist...the more it persists.

The key here is to focus on what you want and NEVER what you don't want. Plain and simple.
So first thing in the morning...set your intention for the day. Focus on what you want, not what you don't want. Throughout your day keep your thoughts aligned with your morning intentions and right before you go to sleep set your intention for the next day.

As we wind down the year...begin to focus on what you want for 2010. See it, then FEEL the feelings associated with your desire and bring in all your senses. Let the experience penetrate through your entire body as if it is already happening.
Focus on perfect health, prosperity, peace, wealth, and divine guidance. Imagine and feel it.
Remember, what you focus on expands.

2.) Family- I am incredibly blessed to have my children, my husband and my extended family - to be surrounded by love.
3.) My work- I am passionate about what I do and love my profession.
4.) Health- I am very fortunate to feel good and be healthy .
5.) Nature- I love being outside...the beach, the trees, the mountains...I am always in awe and appreciate all of nature's beauty.
6.) Friends- I am incredibly grateful to be surrounded by the most amazing people.
7.) Yoga- I love all the healing benefits of yoga- physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
8.) Travel- I am so grateful for all the wonderful places I have been to and will see in my future.

I continue to be amazed at how the Universal laws always apply- The more you are GRATEFUL...the more you have to be grateful for. What you focus on...EXPANDS.

Wishing you a HAPPY THANKSGIVING. A day of celebrating our many GIFTS and BLESSINGS that have been bestowed to us throughout the year. Even the gifts that come disguised as obstacles and challenges because inside those experiences we are given an OPPORTUNITY to learn some of life's greatest lessons.

I am humbly so Grateful, Thankful, and Appreciative to each one of you!
I am TRULY BLESSED!

Contrast

Countdown to 2010-

Have you ever noticed that right in the middle of a really great experience something extremely challenging will appear out of blue?
Yeap, something really good and something really unpleasant is happening at exactly the same time.
I noticed this pattern in my own life in my twenties when the same year I was getting married my Dad was also dying of cancer.
Contrast is necessary and these experiences happen to every one of us.
Without experiencing the "bad" stuff you would have no reference, no way to distinguish the "good" stuff. One is nothing without the other so therefore both must exist.
Opposites teach us some of the strongest and most profound lessons in life. We usually can figure out what we don't want before we can figure out what we do want.
As you have these experiences start to ask...What am I suppose to learn from this? How can I become a better person? These extreme patterns exist and it is how we process and grow from them at the end of the day that is going to determine whether we live a charmed life or a miserable one (hmmm....once again two extremes but this one you actually get to choose)

Wishing you a Blissful day!

The 5 Questions

Countdown to 2010

Who, What, Where, When and How. If you sense that something is missing in your life but not exactly sure what it is then start by asking questions that start with these big 5. Remember, you will never find the answer to a question you never ask.

So what exactly does that mean? If you start by asking these types of questions -your life will shift:
1.) Who am I? Who do I want to be? Who are the most important people in my life?
2.) What do I really want? What do I need to do today to accomplish my goals? What steps do I need to take?
3.) Where do I need to go to today (physically, mentally, spiritually)?
4.) When do I need to......?
4.) How am I going to .......?

As you approach the end of the year and start preparing for 2010, it is time to roll up your sleeves and dig inside your heart and soul to determine who you really are and what you really want out of your life.

Let's finish the year strong and build momentum heading into 2010!

Clarity, Vision and Focus

Countdown to 2010- Day 48-

Are you crystal clear about your goals? If you don't know where- exactly where- you are going then you are never going to get there. As we approach the end of the year it is time to get really serious about our goals.

Time to go get a 2010 calendar if you haven't already and start planning NEXT year right now. In the past, I always made my New Year's Resolutions on Jan 1st. Almost everyone does. Ask yourself what sets the top 10% apart from the other 90%. Be part of the 10%- Plan your 2010 right NOW!

I keep one large journal and list all my New Year's resolutions, every year, in the same journal. It is enlightening to pull out the book and compare one year after another. You get to see the whole picture that way. I have kept this book for 5 years and almost everything in my journal came true. Writing down your goals and getting clarity around what they are will help guide you towards them. It is a critical first step that you can't skip.

We are not going to wind down and disregard the last month of the year as a time when "nothing gets done" because of the holidays. Let's reverse it and get laser beam focused.

Non-Judgment

Countdown to 2010- Day 45

How many times do you compare yourself to someone else? Do you ever catch yourself making a judgment about another person? We all do it, but can we stop?

It really all starts with becoming mindful and paying attention when it happens. Perhaps someone looks very different, has a different kind of lifestyle or personality- if you become aware of those thoughts as they creep in then you have the chance to make a conscious choice about the direction of those thoughts.

Once you make the commitment to dismiss judgement from your life, then you can practice different techniques to find one that sticks. Personally, I like to send love and blessings to the other person or situation. Even if I see someone who is behaving unkindly I remind myself that I can not see what lies beneath the surface and just send blessings their way.
When I catch myself going off course like we all do, I turn inward and ask for guidance and strength.

It is time to practice patience, practice acceptance and practice purifying our thoughts as we move closer to living our best lives together in peace and harmony as ONE.

The Subconscious Mind

Countdown to 2010-Day 44-
You can bring unlimited power, wealth, health, happiness, and peace into your life if you can tap into your subconscious mind.
How can you learn the right techniques and gain insight into your deeper mind?

First, you have to expand your conscious mind and sharpen your awareness. You must realize that although you have only one mind- two distinct functions exist. Next, you become mindful of the individual steps, techniques, and processes that are available to help you tap into your subconscious mind. One of my favorite books is The Power of the Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy. He shares lots of great information and practical tools to use.

You plant seeds (thoughts) into your subconscious mind all day- and you get to decide what they are. Based on your habitual thinking you create your reality. If you consciously replace all negative thoughts with positive ones then you begin to reprogram your subconscious mind.

This will take a serious commitment on your part and it is work that needs to be practiced throughout the day- everyday. Every time you start to make a negative statement if you can catch yourself and reverse it, then you will start to see an amazing shift in your life.

Within your subconscious mind lies infinite resources and all the answers. If you think good thoughts, good will follow.
